GL.iNet Comet X KVM Switch

The GL.iNet Comet X (GL-RM4PE) allows you to remotely manage up to 4 servers using a single device, providing video at resolutions up to 4K at 30 FPS and access via a web browser or app. PoE power delivery helps reduce the number of cables in the rack, and the built-in touchscreen makes it easy to check connection status and manage the device. The Comet X also offers local operation via a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, 64 GB of eMMC storage for ISO images, and the ability to independently control the power of connected systems remotely. It’s ideal for server rooms, MSP client sites, home labs, and anywhere else where convenient management of multiple computers or servers is needed.

Four servers managed by a single device

Comet X allows you to manage up to 4 servers from a single location, eliminating the need for a separate KVM switch for each one. Remote access to connected systems is possible from anywhere via a web browser or app, and video is transmitted in up to 4K resolution at 30 FPS. The HDMI passthrough feature allows simultaneous use of a local monitor, which facilitates diagnostics, configuration, and day-to-day system maintenance.

Touchscreen and Convenient Local Operation

The built-in touchscreen allows you to quickly check the device’s IP address, connection status, online or offline status, and active sessions. It also lets you preview the screen of each connected device and access key system settings. If needed, you can connect a keyboard, mouse, and monitor to the Comet X, and a button on the front panel allows you to quickly switch between supported servers.

PoE and Rack Mounting

The Comet X can be powered directly through an Ethernet cable using PoE technology, which helps reduce the number of cables and keep the installation tidy. In the event of a PoE power loss, the device automatically switches to a backup 5 V USB-C power source. The design is compatible with 10" and 19" rack-mount installations, and the necessary mounting brackets are included.

64 GB of storage

The built-in 64 GB eMMC storage can be used to store ISO images. This allows you to keep the necessary files directly on the device and use them when installing operating systems or performing system recovery. This eliminates the need to reach for an additional storage medium with the necessary files each time.
